Each new student joining Potter's World will have the thrill of receiving their Hogwarts letter, an invitation to join one of the most prestigious schools in the wizarding world. Should you accept this invitation you will be challenged to learn about your new surroundings, how to purchase school supplies and the other treats that Diagon Alley has to offer. As your post count increases and you become more familiar with the game, even more areas will become visible to you, broadening your view of the wizarding world. You'll take a ride on the Hogwarts Express where you'll meet all of your fellow students and for the first time don your Hogwarts robes.

Everyone Begins as a Student
All new characters/players will begin as a 1st year student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The Harry Potter mythology is deeply grounded in the time spent at Hogwarts, so that's how all characters will begin their journey. Moving up through the classes and finally graduation should be every students goal; each "year" at Hogwarts will be a 4-week "real-time" cycle. Once graduating from Hogwarts, characters will then be considered 'adult' and able to participate in more adult plotlines and settings.

Upon arrival at Hogwarts, each new student will be sorted into the house best suited for them. You can explore the castle; you can take refuge in your common rooms and dormitories. You'll have the option to try out for Quidditch teams, make new friends (and perhaps enemies), and as you progress through your years you will gradually be exposed to new adventures.

Hogsmeade
The village of Hogsmeade awaits the third year students and beyond, tempting you with its sights and smells. Here is a whole new world for students to explore, filled with new characters, new shops, and new establishments for you to enjoy. Later on you will sit your exams, and upon completion of your magical education you will become a graduate of Hogwarts, free to explore all of the world existing outside of the school. You can make allegiances, choose a career, become a highly valued member of wizarding society, whatever your imagination can produce. The options are limitless.
